Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This role involves managing people, optimizing processes, maintaining quality standards, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee end-to-end business operations, ensuring smooth workflow and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.
    • Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
    • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives where applicable.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight:

    • Prepare and manage operational budgets and forecasts.
    • Monitor expenses, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality, Compliance, and Safety:

    • Ensure operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
    • Maintain quality control standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Oversee health, safety, and risk management procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Coordinate with departments such as Sales, HR, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure cohesive business operations.
    • Support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, project management, and performance optimization.
  • Proven experience managing teams and improving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and data analytics tools.
