Job Title: Operations and Maintenance Engineer – Solar Location: Tezpur, Assam Department: Operations & Maintenance Reports To: O&M Manager / Project Head Experience Required: 2–5 years (can be adjusted) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Operations and Maintenance Engineer to oversee the daily operations and ensure the efficient performance of solar power plants located in Assam . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with solar PV systems and strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily monitoring, operation, and maintenance of solar power plants. Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive/corrective maintenance of electrical equipment (inverters, transformers, SCADA, switchgear, etc.). Diagnose and resolve system issues to ensure optimum performance and minimum downtime. Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance activities, daily logs, and reports. Coordinate with the central operations team for system monitoring and analysis. Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards on-site. Liaise with local DISCOMs and other government authorities when required. Manage spare parts inventory and procurement support. Assist in performance analysis and generation forecasting. Support commissioning of new plants or upgrades when required. Required Qualifications & Skills: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Renewable Energy or related fields. 2–5 years of experience in solar plant O&M experience in ground-mounted solar preferred. Sound knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and grid integration. Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics. Proficient in using monitoring software and tools (SCADA, DAS, etc.). Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Willingness to be based in Assam and travel across sites as required. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, reporting tools). Preferred Attributes: Knowledge of local language(s) in Assam. Familiarity with safety protocols and certifications (like OSHA or equivalent). Experience with high-capacity plants (MW scale).
