Job Description

The Project Manager leads mid- to large-scale, complex client engagements end-to-end, owning planning, coordination, and delivery. This role is highly client-facing and requires building trusted relationships, tailoring stakeholder communication, and advocating for user-first outcomes. You will drive prioritization and roadmap creation, orchestrate cross-functional teams across locations, and bring structure to ambiguity using Agile practices. Success requires strong process orientation, fluency in Agile/SDLC, and the ability to collaborate closely with Product Managers/Owners to align roadmap and execution.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years managing mid- to large-scale complex projects end-to-end
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams of 5+ across locations and skill levels
  • Hands-on client-facing delivery in professional services or client delivery environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills (verbal, written, and visual)
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to define priorities, build roadmaps, and drive execution with a user-first mindset
  • Experience collaborating with Product Managers and Product Owners; clear understanding of role boundaries
  • Proficiency with Agile delivery tools and their administration (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
  • Training in project management and Agile disciplines (formal or self-taught)
  • Process-oriented mindset; ability to reduce chaos, enable change, and implement scalable ways of working
  • Ability to convey information using diagrams/workflows and clear documentation
  • Background in engineering, software architecture, product management, or delivery (preferred)
  • Helpful certifications: CSM/ScrumMaster and PMI certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP)

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers; act as both advocate and coach
  • Tailor stakeholder communication and reporting for executives, business, and technical teams
  • Develop deep understanding of client business context, goals, constraints, and risks
  • Facilitate prioritization, define and maintain delivery roadmaps, and drive execution with a user-first approach
  • Plan and deliver mid- to large-scale complex projects on scope/schedule/budget while managing constraints
  • Lead distributed cross-functional teams (5+ members); remove impediments and enable high performance
  • Establish, refine, and scale delivery processes; introduce structure in low-structure environments
  • Configure/administer Agile tools (e.g., Jira); track progress with metrics and dashboards; provide status reports
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies, and changes (RAID management)
  • Partner with Product Managers/Owners on backlog health, acceptance criteria, and release planning
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) and continuous improvement
  • Support team coaching and career development as applicable
