Position : Regional Technical Support Manager

Objective

To act as the single point of contact between the Head Office (HO) and the factories assigned within the region. The role involves regular and timely data collection, analysis, summarization, and presenting information in a structured format to the functional directors on the following areas:

1. Production, dispatches, and target achievements
2. Operational costs and adherence to budget controls
3. Machine health monitoring and maintenance coordination with factory teams
4. Serving as a central coordinator for issues related to units and facilitating resolution with relevant HO teams

The candidate must be highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Collection & Management

• Interface regularly with factory Technical Heads and other functional heads to collect scheduled and ad-hoc reports on production parameters, process issues, quality metrics (e.g., rejection rates, testing results), equipment performance, and technical project progress.
• Maintain and manage a centralized, standardized digital database/dashboard for all factory data, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.

2. Analysis, Reporting & Coordination

• Analyze technical data to identify trends, performance deviations, recurring challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare concise, high-impact reports and presentations for Technical/Functional Directors, highlighting KPIs, risks, and required actions.
• Coordinate follow-up actions and address queries from the corporate office to the factories.
• Prepare technical briefs, meeting agendas, and minutes for internal and external meetings.

3. Education & Technical Knowledge

• Education:

  B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Specialization in Polymer Science or related fields preferred.

• Experience:

  1012 years of relevant experience in corporate reporting, technical coordination, or executive assistant roles in a multi-site manufacturing organization.
• Strong understanding of polymer science and manufacturing processes, including blow moulding, injection moulding, and mould extrusion.
• Familiarity with standard Quality Management Systems and manufacturing KPIs.

4. Core Competencies & Skills

• Analytical Skills & Software Proficiency:

• Advanced skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data visualization).
• Strong presentation skills (PowerPoint/Google Slides).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or technical data management tools is an added advantage.

• Communication:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to interact effectively with technical teams at the factory level as well as senior management.
