OpenShift DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Open Shift DevOps Engineer with 2 years of hands-on experience to join our growing DevOps team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and experience managing applications on Red Hat Open Shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, manage, and monitor containerised applications on

  Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform

• Build and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines

  using tools like

  Jenkins

  ,

  GitLab CI

  , or

  Tekton

• Implement and manage

  infrastructure as code

  using

  Terraform

  or

  Ansible

• Support

  Docker

  containerization and orchestration using

  Kubernetes/OpenShift

• Automate operational tasks and improve system reliability and scalability
• Perform regular system monitoring, optimization, and tuning
• Work closely with development and QA teams to support release cycles
• Maintain proper documentation of deployment processes, environments, and configurations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2 years of professional experience in

  DevOps practices

• Hands-on experience with

  Red Hat OpenShift

  and

  Kubernetes

• Proficiency in

  Linux administration

  and

  Bash/Shell scripting

• Experience with

  CI/CD tools

  (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton)
• Familiarity with

  Docker

  ,

  Helm

  , and container lifecycle management
• Working knowledge of

  Git

  and version control workflows
• Understanding of

  networking

  ,

  load balancers

  , and

  monitoring tools

  (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Exposure to

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and team collaboration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment

Good to have:

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (or similar certification)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to security best practices and compliance
