The team focuses on innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement, supporting enterprise-wide digital transformation through scalable and secure cloud platforms.

Impact (Job Summary / Why This Role Matters)

As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade cloud platforms and automation frameworks. This role is central to the success of our cloud transformation journey defining best practices, ensuring platform reliability, and enabling teams through automation and self-service.

Key Deliverables

Lead design and implementation of cloud platform services and automation solutions.
Develop enterprise-grade patterns and reusable service catalogs for cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to define and automate policies, infrastructure, and compliance processes.
Ensure high standards of resilience, cost optimization, and security in all engineered cloud services.
Build and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions for scalable, self-service platforms.
Drive operational efficiency through automation and proactive monitoring.
Share on-call responsibilities to manage escalations and ensure uptime for production systems.

Technical Skills:

Proven experience in cloud compute design and automation (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
Strong scripting and programming knowledge (Python, Bash, Perl, etc.).
Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, AppDynamics, New Relic, Zabbix).

Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8-14 years of IT experience with at least 6-10 years in cloud or distributed systems design.
6+ years in managing operations, automation, and configuration management tools.
Certifications such as AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) preferred.
Experience with LinkedIn, Istio, or service mesh technologies is an advantage .
