Job Title: O&M Manager Residential Services (Baggage Handling / Material Handling Systems)

About the Role

Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Contract Management

  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements including KPIs, permits, certifications, reporting, and SLAs.
  • Act as the

    single point of contact

    for all customer escalations related to Residential Services.
  • Monitor performance of O&M Site Managers and ensure targets and timelines are met.
  • Conduct random inspections and audits to ensure smooth running of systems.
  • Review system breakdowns and implement preventive solutions to avoid recurrence.
  • Handle small-scale project execution when required.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise Operations & Maintenance teams.
  • Conduct staff appraisals, counselling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Drive training and skill-development plans for operational staff.
  • Organise and promote regular safety meetings and awareness sessions.

Process & Compliance

  • Ensure all documentation is maintained as per company and ISO audit standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments — Projects, HR, Administration, Purchase, etc.
  • Track and ensure timely renewal/extension of all O&M contracts.

Vendor & Spare Parts Management

  • Oversee spare-parts planning and vendor management to ensure

    zero downtime

    due to material unavailability.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with Site Managers.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Drive Six Sigma or continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide monthly operational and financial reports to Head of Customer Support.
  • Ensure readiness and execution of fallback/emergency plans.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and data analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage customer escalations and complaints effectively
  • Capable of working in culturally diverse environments
  • Ability to take ownership, adapt to challenges, and handle multiple responsibilities
