NPI Quality (MIM) - Engineer

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience:

3+ years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or MIM environment.

Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.).

Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related industry standards.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead quality assurance activities during NPI phases, ensuring product and process readiness.

Validate MIM materials and processes (e.g., moulding, debinding, sintering) for consistency and compliance.

Support tooling and equipment validation through trials and simulations.

Develop and implement inspection criteria for incoming, in-process, and finished goods.

Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and ensure product conformance to customer requirements.

Investigate non-conformances using tools like FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of raw materials and components.

Maintain documentation including test reports, validation records, and quality control plans.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
