RCD – Node.js Backend Developer (1–2 Years Experience)Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Node.js Backend Developer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in developing scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to write clean, maintainable code, and a keen interest in backend architecture and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express.js / Nest.js).
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code following best practices.
• Integrate databases (SQL/NoSQL such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) with backend services.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless solutions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and data handling practices.
• Maintain proper documentation of APIs, processes, and systems.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
• Stay updated with latest backend technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Competencies & Skills

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with backend frameworks: Express.js / Nest.js.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design & integration.
• Familiarity with databases: MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub version control.
• Basic understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines (added advantage).
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Mocha, Jest, etc.).
• Understanding of security practices (JWT, OAuth, data encryption).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Time management and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field.
• 1–2 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer (Node.js).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
