Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for our web applications. The ideal candidate has strong backend development experience, can work independently, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
• Build and manage databases using MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Follow Agile/Scrum development practices and participate in sprint planning
• Maintain documentation for APIs and backend processes

Skills & Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid experience with Node.js and Express.js
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of databases (MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
• Experience using Git / GitHub for version control
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Must have own laptop/system capable of running development tools efficiently
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React.js or Next.js
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Firebase, etc.)
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices
