NOC Engineer - Core Network Tester

PURPOSE OF JOB

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Test Engineer to join our high-performance team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in 4G/5G Packet Core, EPC, and IMS testing, and will be responsible for validating and troubleshooting telecom network functions using tools such as Spirent Landslide and Wireshark. The role demands a strong understanding of 3GPP standards and the ability to work in customer-facing, SLA-driven environments.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related technical field
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Spirent Landslide – including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• 4+ years of experience in telecom testing – including 4G/5G Packet Core (EPC), IMS, and VNF-based architectures
• Clear understanding of 3GPP standards, telecom node configuration, and protocol emulation
• Prior exposure to domains such as PACO, VoLTE, CS Core, MPBN, and 5G
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including experience working in a multinational partner ecosystem
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Hands-on expertise with Spirent Landslide - test execution (automated/manual), configuration, peer node integration, and license-based test case editing
• Familiarity with network protocols, interface-level testing (S1, Gx, Rx, etc.), and IMS/VNF testing practices
• Skilled in preventive maintenance, backup checks, and incident reporting (via Jira, Email, FTP, etc.)
• Ability to interpret user requirements and translate them into detailed test use-cases with success/failure criteria
• User access and lifecycle management on test tools
• Ability to follow strict change management and approval processes
• Proficient in executing load testing scenarios and validating component behavior before Go-Live
• Strong customer coordination, KT delivery, and user education on tool usage

KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES Planning & Design

• Collaborate with partners to prepare node deployment designs
• Design peer node integration architecture and prepare success/failure use cases
• Document end-user requirements and deliver internal/external knowledge transfer (KT) sessions
• Guide customer teams on Landslide tool usage and configuration strategy

Operations & Testing

• Perform preventive health checks and optimize deployed modules
• Conduct sanity checks for device configurations and test script backups
• Execute pre-configured automated/manual test scenarios; modify test cases where permitted
• Support UAT activities, validate test success criteria, and log results
• Troubleshoot Spirent reachability issues with partner VNFs and follow up for resolution
• Maintain detailed incident logs and coordinate issue resolution within SLA timelines

Configuration Management

• Configure Landslide to emulate nodes across 2G, 3G, 4G, IMS, and 5G NSA/SA
• Integrate peer nodes with Spirent and ensure configuration compliance with licenses
• Manage test script edits and scenario fine-tuning in line with user objectives
• Execute load testing and new test case creation using licensed features
• Ensure changes follow approval and versioning norms

Lifecycle Management & Security

• Manage software updates, upgrades, and new solution testing
• Address security compliance as per Bharti's internal policies
• Support User Access Management and test component handover post-UAT
• Ensure customer readiness prior to Go-Live

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
