The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, and property. This involves monitoring surveillance equipment, conducting regular patrols, enforcing security protocols, and responding to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surveillance & Monitoring:
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems for any unusual activity.
• Respond to and investigate potential security incidents in a professional manner.
• Maintain constant communication with other security personnel and management.
• Patrol Duties:
• Perform regular foot or vehicle patrols of the premises to ensure the security of buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
• Check all entry points and ensure they are secure.
• Incident Response:
• Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and break-ins.
• Call emergency services as needed and provide initial support or first aid when necessary.
• Write detailed reports for any incidents or security breaches.
• Access Control:
• Monitor and control access to buildings, parking areas, and other restricted zones.
• Screen visitors, contractors, and employees to ensure authorized access.
• Issue visitor badges and escort guests as necessary.
• Customer Service:
• Assist employees and visitors with directions or any security-related inquiries.
• Provide a visible and approachable presence to enhance safety and trust.
• Safety Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies.
• Conduct safety checks, including ensuring fire exits are unobstructed and equipment is in working order.
• Reporting:
• Maintain logs of all patrols, incidents, and observations.
• Report any security hazards, suspicious activity, or damages to management immediately.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; some positions may require a college degree or specialized training.
• Experience: Previous security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.
• Certifications: Security Guard License (if required by state or region). First Aid and CPR certification may also be preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to [weight] pounds.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
