Job Title: Nursing Assistant (CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant) Job Summary: The Nursing Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff in the care of patients. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This role is key to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Help patients with mobility by repositioning, turning, or transferring them between beds and wheelchairs. Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Report any changes in patient health or behavior to nursing staff. Assist with feeding patients and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients. Document care provided and follow care plans as directed by nursing or medical staff. Assist with basic medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program. Current CNA certification and registration (state-specific). Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and observational skills. Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team. Work Environment: Long-term care facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or home healthcare. Requires physical activity such as standing, lifting, and bending. Shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
