Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud Architecture & Design

  • Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based architectures on AWS.
  • Lead the creation of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions.
  • Select appropriate AWS services and tools for different workloads, considering cost, performance, and scalability.

Development & Deployment

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications and services.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Ensure continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) are automated and optimized.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor system performance, implement security best practices, and ensure reliability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently, minimizing business impact.
  • Optimize AWS costs and resource utilization across projects.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architecture, and solution strategies.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with product, DevOps, QA, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational guidelines.
  • Report progress, risks, and recommendations to engineering leadership.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in AWS services : EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud architecture design, cloud-native applications, and microservices.
  • Proficient in IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, compliance, and cost optimization in AWS environments.
