Role Overview

As the On-Camera Social Media Content Creator, you will be the charismatic face of Trekup India's digital presence. You'll produce dynamic video content that showcases trekking adventures, educates viewers, and fuels their wanderlust. From scaling Himalayan peaks to capturing campfire stories, your role blends adventure, creativity, and strategy to grow our audience and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Storytelling
• Film on-location and at-office videos (vlogs, tutorials, gear reviews, behind-the-scenes) that highlight trek routes, challenges, and cultural insights.
• Script and deliver engaging narrations, tips, and safety briefings on-camera.
• Collaborate with editors to craft polished, platform-optimized content (Instagram Reels, YouTube vlogs).
• Audience Engagement
• Foster community interaction through Q&A sessions, live streams, and user-generated content campaigns.
• Respond to comments and messages to build rapport with followers.
• Creative Strategy
• Brainstorm viral-worthy concepts (e.g., "A Day in the Life of a Trek Leader," "Monsoon Trek Challenges").
• Analyze social metrics to refine content strategy and maximize reach.
• Production Excellence
• Operate cameras, drones, and audio gear (training provided if needed).
• Ensure content aligns with brand aesthetics (colour grading, captions, hashtags).
• Adventure & Safety
• Lead by example in promoting Leave No Trace principles by promoting Save The Trail, an initiative by Trekup India, and safety protocols.
• Document trek preparation, including gear checks and fitness routines.

Qualifications

• On-Camera Presence: 1–2 years of experience in video hosting, acting, or influencer roles. Confident, articulate, and relatable demeanour.
• Trekking Passion (if you have it, it will be a plus point): Proven experience in high-altitude treks; knowledge of Indian Himalayan trails (e.g., Kedarkantha, Roopkund, Valley of Flowers).
• Social Media Savvy (Optional - it will be a plus point for your hiring): Track record of growing platforms (10K+ followers preferred); understanding of SEO and trending algorithms.
• Physical Fitness (optional): Ability to trek 8–10 hours daily while carrying equipment (15–20 kg backpack).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Any Bechlous Degree
• Fluency in English.
