New Product Development

About Role:-

The NPD Executive is responsible for developing new, innovative nutrition and supplement products aligned with the brand’s strategy. This role involves formulation, research, trials, compliance, and cross-functional coordination to bring new products from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Research market trends, customer demand, and competitor products to identify new product opportunities.
• Develop innovative and science-backed formulations for powders, capsules, gummies, beverages, etc.
• Work with formulators, manufacturers, and R&D teams to create prototypes and pilot batches.
• Evaluate ingredient functionality, dosage effectiveness, and formulation feasibility.
• Ensure all formulations and claims meet FSSAI guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare product briefs, formulation sheets, and label claim justifications.
• Conduct sensory trials and integrate improvements based on feedback.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, operations, and supply chain for packaging, costing, and launch planning.
• Monitor development timelines and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Maintain documentation such as R&D reports, stability data, cost sheets, and trial summaries.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Nutrition, or related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in NPD/R&D for Nutrition, Supplements, FMCG, or Functional Foods.
• Strong understanding of formulation science and functional ingredients (herbs, adaptogens, proteins, vitamins, minerals).
• Experience working with manufacturers, contract labs, and packaging development teams.
• Knowledge of FSSAI regulatory compliance and labelling guidelines.
