Network & Security Engineer (L2/L3)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot L2/L3 networks (switching, routing, VLANs, routing protocols).
• Configure, operate, and maintain enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto / Fortinet / Cisco / Check Point / Juniper).
• Perform firewall rule creation, optimization, cleanup, and OS upgrades.
• Lead firewall migration projects: policy translation, configuration, and cutover.
• Troubleshoot routing, connectivity issues, latency, and security policy conflicts.
• Support data center operations, high availability setups, and network monitoring.
• Participate in incident management, RCA, change management (ITIL), and documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking (VLAN, STP, VRRP/HSRP, BGP, OSPF).
• Hands-on expertise with at least one major firewall platform.
• Experience in firewall migration and policy design.
• Familiarity with VPN technologies, NAT, IPS/IDS, and security best practices.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.).
• Good understanding of ITIL processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA / CCNP (R&S or Security)
• PCNSE / NSE47 / CCSA / CCSE / JNCIS-Sec
• ITIL Foundation
• Cloud networking exposure (AWS / Azure / GCP) added advantage
