Position Title: Network Planning & Design Engineer

Role Summary:

Modeling of electrical Network and carrying out power system studies like Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit

studies, Transient Studies, protection coordination studies, Constraints analysis etc. As a member of the

Project Team, assisting the other Design & other teams for studying the current network performance as

well as designing the future network both in Transmission & Distribution areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Should verify the Captured Network data required for Modeling.

• Load flow and fault level analysis experience.

• Carrying out important System Studies viz

Power Flow analysis

Short Circuit / Protection Coordination

Load Related Network Reinforcement

Transient Studies

Voltage Stability Studies

Network Constraint Analysis and contingency planning.

• Working knowledge of Transmission & distribution networks (from Low Voltage to Extra High

voltage (132kV or upwards) including protection schemes

• Analyzing the results which are obtained from the power system simulation software.

• Prepare CAPEX scheme for facilitating new connections as well as Network Upgrades along with

other Design Teams for finalizing the technical specifications covering Functional requirements,

Ratings and parameters, Compliance standards, Interface requirements etc.

• Summarizing the technical results and technical report preparation and working with client to

finalise the Vendor Tender Documentations and technical interactions.

Requisite work experience and skill set:

• Knowledge of Transmission & Distribution UK GRID Code/ Standards

• Working knowledge in power system simulation software (DigSilent, PSSE-Sincal, PS CAD or

similar product)

• Preparation of Technical design reports.

• Good communication and report writing skills, Team Handling skills & Project Management

skills.
