Key Responsibilities: SunStripe Energy Technology is seeking a manager - Power System Studies with expertise in grid integration, substation design, and high-voltage (EHV) transmission systems for Solar + Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. This role will work closely with utilities, developers, to ensure grid compliance, interconnection feasibility, and system performance. The ideal candidate should have: 5-8 Years of experience in power system studies Experience working with US utilities, developers, and transmission operators. Experience in international (Overseas) power markets is a plus. Strong technical expertise in Solar + Bess interconnection, protection coordination, load flow, and stability studies and understanding of transmission network of US and India. Proficiency in PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, SIMCAP. Or similar power system analysis tools. Ability to work closely with engineering, consulting, and AI-driven technology development teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Substation & EHV System Design Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage substations (66kV-500kV) for solar + BESS projects. Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), grounding layouts, protection & control schemes, and relay settings. 2. Power System Studies & Grid Interconnection Conduct power system studies including load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, harmonic analysis, and contingency analysis. Preparation and review of IX applications. Evaluate interconnection feasibility, system impact, and steady-state & dynamic performance of solar + storage projects. Utilize industry-standard tools such as PSCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, SIMCAP Work closely with utilities and transmission operators on interconnection agreements, compliance testing, and power evacuation studies. 3. Protection & Relay Coordination Develop protection schemes for solar + storage interconnection to ensure system stability, fault tolerance, and islanding prevention. Configure and program protective relays (SEL, ABB, GE, Siemens) for substation automation and grid synchronization. Perform relay coordination, breaker settings, and protection testing to ensure grid compliance. 4. AI-Driven Power System Analytics & Technology Integration Collaborate with SunStripes Technology Platform Development Team to development on Grid analytics platforms 5. Regulatory Compliance & Utility Coordination Ensure projects comply with FERC, NERC, ISO/RTO/PJM interconnection requirements in USA and ISTS connectivity in India Support regulatory filings, system impact studies, and compliance audits for solar + BESS projects. Develop interconnection applications and manage utility coordination for project approvals. 6. Project Coordination & Engineering Support Support feasibility studies, and investment due diligence with technical insights Closely work with Business & technical team on deliverables, discussion Closely worked with Electrical Design team Required Qualifications & Experience: 5-8 years of experience in substation engineering, power system studies. Strong background in solar + BESS grid interconnection and power flow studies. Experience working with US utilities, developers, and transmission operators is mandatory.
