Job Description

About the Role:

Network Monitoring Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor
network devices, servers, firewalls, routers, and switches using network monitoring tools.
Identify, analyze, and respond
to network performance issues and alerts in real-time.
Troubleshoot and resolve
Level 1 and Level 2 network incidents within defined SLAs.
Escalate unresolved issues
to higher-tier support or vendors following escalation protocols.
Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
in the ticketing system.
Perform regular system health checks, network performance analysis, and preventive maintenance.
Generate daily/weekly network performance and uptime reports.
Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal teams
for issue resolution and network improvements.
Assist in implementing changes, upgrades, and configurations
under supervision.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications such as
CompTIA Network+, CCNA, ITIL, or equivalent.
Experience in
telecommunications, data centers, or managed service provider (MSP)
environments.
Familiarity with
cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
or
network automation scripting
(Python, PowerShell).
