Job Description

Role Overview: As an L2 Network Support Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide network support for enterprise clients operating in global hybrid environments. You will be configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting various network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPNs, and wireless controllers. Your role will involve supporting cloud networking components across AWS and Azure environments, managing incident and change requests in ITSM systems, and collaborating with different teams for advanced troubleshooting and escalations. Key Responsibilities: - Provide L2-level network support for enterprise clients operating in global hybrid environments. - Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPNs, and wireless controllers. - Support cloud networking components across AWS and Azure environments. - Manage incident and change requests in ITSM systems following ITIL standards. - Perform L2 troubleshooting for critical network outages, latency issues, and performance degradation incidents. - Collaborate with L1 engineers to validate escalations, provide technical guidance, and ensure SLA adherence. - Execute infrastructure changes, including firmware upgrades, device patching, and configuration migrations. - Coordinate with L3 teams, cloud specialists, and OEM vendors for advanced troubleshooting and escalations. - Monitor and optimize network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, and Nagios. - Maintain and update network documentation, configuration diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting runbooks. - Participate in major incident management bridges and contribute to root cause analysis reporting. - Ensure security compliance by applying network hardening practices, configuration baselines, and audit readiness checks. - Support business continuity and DR exercises by validating network redundancy and failover mechanisms. - Work closely with internal and client stakeholders to deliver stable, compliant, and secure network operations. - Contribute to process improvements, automation scripts, and proactive monitoring initiatives to minimize manual interventions. Qualifications Required: - Industry experience in IT Infrastructure, Network Operations, or Managed Services. - A minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
