Network Engineer L1

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Support

• Provide L1 support for LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments
• Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues
• Handle incidents, service requests, and basic changes as per SOP

Firewall Management (Sophos)

• Perform basic configuration and administration of Sophos Firewall
• Manage firewall rules, NAT policies, VPNs, and security profiles
• Monitor logs, alerts, and security events; escalate when required

Wireless Network (Ruckus)

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Ruckus Networks Access Points
• Support WLAN performance, SSIDs, VLAN mapping, and user access issues

Switching & Routing (Cisco)

• Configure and support Cisco switches and routers
• Manage VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, port configurations, and basic routing
• Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and SOP documentation
• Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal IT teams
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper details

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge

• Strong fundamentals in Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing & Switching
• Hands-on experience with Sophos Firewall (mandatory)
• Practical exposure to Ruckus Access Points
• Experience with Cisco switches and routers
• Understanding of VPNs, ACLs, NAT, and basic security concepts
• Familiarity with ticketing tools and incident management

Educational Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Networking or firewall certifications are an added advantage

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 1–3 years of relevant network support experience
• Immediate joiner or maximum 15 days notice
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills
• Ahmedabad-based candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,973.11 - ₹36,067.31 per month
