Network Engineer L1

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Network Engineer L1 to support day-to-day network operations at

our Bidadi location. This role focuses on basic network monitoring, first-level

troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and on-site physical activities such as cabling,

patching, and labelling. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior engineers to

ensure stable and secure network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain network devices including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents using monitoring tools such as Meraki Dashboard, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for LAN/WAN connectivity issues and escalate to L2/L3 teams when required.
• Provide support for VPN connectivity and end-user network access issues.
• Coordinate with ISPs, service providers, and vendors for link-related issues and on-site activities.
• Assist with network cabling, patching, rack organization, and proper labeling of ports and devices.
• Maintain and update network documentation, including topology diagrams and IP address inventories.
• Participate in preventive maintenance, upgrades, and change activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Ensure timely incident resolution in line with defined SLAs and internal change management processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 02 years of experience in networking or IT infrastructure support.
• Basic understanding of LAN, WAN, VLANs, routing, and switching concepts.
• Familiarity with Cisco or Meraki devices and basic IOS CLI commands.
• Knowledge of basic network troubleshooting tools and commands (ping, traceroute, etc.).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks such as cabling, patching, and labelling in network racks.
• Preferred Certification: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ITSM / ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or ManageEngine.
• Basic understanding of Routing and Switching.
