Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Fortinet FortiGate firewall architecture within Azure Landing Zones (hub-and-spoke, spoke-to-internet, or spoke-to-on-prem models)
• Deploy FortiGate firewalls from the Azure Marketplace, including VM sizing, NIC configuration, and custom routing
• Configure firewall policies, NAT rules, SSL/IPSec VPNs, and intrusion prevention tailored to cloud security needs
• Integrate FortiGate with Azure networking components such as:
• Azure VNet Peering
• User Defined Routes (UDRs)
• Azure Load Balancers (for HA/Active-Passive FortiGate setups)
• Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Azure Firewall (if coexisting)
• Develop and enforce zero-trust network segmentation using Fortinet Next-Gen Firewalls
• Monitor and manage firewalls using FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, or native FortiOS logging
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewall administration
• Strong working knowledge of:
• FortiOS (firewall, VPN, IPS, UTM)
• FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
• SSL and IPSec VPN configuration
• Proficiency with Azure networking services: VNets, UDRs, NSGs, VNet Peering, Azure Load Balancers
• Fortinet NSE4 certification or higher (preferred)

Preferred Experience:

• Integration with on-premises FortiGate firewalls in hybrid cloud environments
