Network Engineer

Role Overview:-

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure that supports our business operations across multiple sites. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in rotational shifts and will have hands-on experience managing routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all aspects of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Configure and monitor LAN/WAN/VPN connections to ensure optimal network performance.
• Implement and manage network security protocols and firewall configurations.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Monitor network performance using tools such as PRTG and ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
• Maintain Active Directory, GPO, and user access controls in coordination with IT support.
• Manage server and virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery procedures using tools like Veeam.
• Collaborate with vendors for hardware procurement, network design, and escalations.
• Document configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong understanding of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching)
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points
• Familiarity with CATO, StorMagic, PRTG, Veeam, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, and SCCM
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware / Hyper-V)
• Hands-on experience managing Cisco, Fortinet, or HP switches/firewalls

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience as a Network Engineer in a voice campaign in an International BPO.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
