Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain core network services, including DNS, DHCP, and NTP.
Monitor network performance and availability using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
Respond to and resolve user-reported network connectivity and performance issues through a ticketing system.
Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, firmware updates, and configuration backups.
Manage user access and network security on a day-to-day basis.
Troubleshoot network problems and provide support for both Windows and Linux environments.
Maintain accurate documentation of the network configuration and operational procedures.
Utilize remote access tools like RDP and SSH for system administration and support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:
6+ years in a Network Administrator or similar IT support role.
Core Services:
Strong proficiency in managing DNS and DHCP.
Operating Systems:
Experience with both Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS).
Monitoring:
Hands-on experience with SolarWinds, Nagios, or a similar network monitoring platform.
Troubleshooting:
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve user connectivity issues.
Protocols:
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, SNMP, and Syslog.
Tools:
Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills, a customer-service orientation, and meticulous attention to detail.
