Network Administrator

Network Administrator – AGM Inc., Guyana, South America

Location: Mining Site, Guyana

Type: Full-time, On-site

AGM Inc. is looking for an experienced network administrator to support our IT operations at a gold mining site. You will manage system and network infrastructure, provide technical support, and ensure smooth IT operations for over 200 employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Support users with hardware, software, and network issues (on-site, remote, and by phone).
• Install, configure, and maintain systems, servers, and network devices.
• Perform daily data backup and recovery tasks.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure, and Virtual Machines.
• Handle Tier 1–3 helpdesk tickets.
• Conduct routine system checks and troubleshoot issues.
• Support VHF radio and communication systems.
• Work in tunnels, open pits, plants, and other mining locations as required.

Requirements

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science.
• At least two certifications (MCITP, MCSE, CCNP, VCP, Network+, Security+).
• CCNP preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in system/network administration.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Active Directory
• Azure
• VMware/Hyper-V
• Data backup & recovery solutions

Skills:

• Strong Windows administration and MS Office skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.

Other:

• Willing to travel; able to lift up to 15 lbs.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, remote mining environment.
