3.2 National Credit Manager Business Vertical: Housing Line of Business: Credit Department: Credit Line Manager: Head - Credit, Risk & Valuation Designation: National Credit Manager Grade: M6- M8 On the rolls of: TCHFL Location: No. of Positions: Job Dimensions Responsible for handling team: Yes Roles reporting into this role(Direct/ 1) Customers Indirect): Contact or Interaction with: Travel Required: Yes Position Type: Full time Process Owner: 1) Credit 2) Internal sales teams 3)Channel Partners 4) Builders • • • • • Zonal Credit Manager Regional Credit Manager ACM Credit Credit Manager Credit Officer Job Purpose • Develop initiatives to improve the overall credit strategy and co-partner with the sales team to underwrite the retail and affordable home loan business PAN India • Design programs to improve the productivity and efficiency of the team Responsibilities Core Responsibilities: o Build and lead a highly collaborative and proactive credit function that is able to navigate the increasingly complex business and regulatory environment that the firm operates in. o Develop credit appraisal and underwriting of entire home equity portfolio in a decentralized credit delivery environment and be aware of early warning triggers and portfolio management. o Achieve homogeneity in credit decisions by moving a majority of logins through business rule engines and implementing robust credit processes to improve credit quality and product profitability. o Design and formulate programs/policy changes to enhance growth and profitability of the home equity portfolio. o Collaborate with product heads to reach untapped customer segments, strengthen product portfolio and help mitigate margin compression. o Analyze financial statements and performance reviews and check the rating of the individuals given by CIBIL & match the same with alternate (non-traditional) database. o Ensure compliance to procedures laid down for processing, sanction, documentation and disbursement of home equity portfolio. o Oversee and review the underwriting process at Pan-India region and ensure smooth implementation of credit policies, guidelines and regulatory framework so as to avoid delinquency/losses. o Conduct periodic review of all existing policies, guidelines and processes to ensure updation on lines of external environment, organisation needs and regulatory framework o Facilitate credit decisions on affordable housing loans cases based on policies, processes and merits of the case for limits beyond zonal credit manager (ZCM) level. o Oversee identification and resolution of fraudulent practices, mitigate risk through changes in policy and process supervise external agents for verification process including fraud investigation, legal verification and technical evaluation. o Monitor quality of business by ensuring GNPA is under control. o Conduct surprise audit for branches periodically and share findings / reports with branches and senior management o Evaluate individual performance for branch credit managers for my clusters branches and share with higher management o Increase efficiency and productivity of the function by effectively managing relationships with the team. o Give feedback to branch credit manager for their work and conduct regular discussion on portfolio behaviours and policy changes and evaluate their understanding and awareness about policy o Conduct regular policy training for branch credit team for policy refreshers as well as periodical training for policy and new addendum or additions in policy o Collaborate with cross departments both internally and externally to ensure smooth functioning of the credit processes. o Ensure compliance to all Audit / NHB regulations as well as processes, policies and reports as per company designed systems.
