About The Opportunity

Healthcare — Hospitals & Specialty Clinics operating in the Orthopaedics & Trauma care sector. We deliver high-quality tertiary and secondary care services including elective orthopaedics, trauma management, and rehabilitative follow-up across modern inpatient and outpatient facilities.Location: On-site in India. Role Title: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (top-performing standard title aligned to MS/DNB qualifications).Role & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care for inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic cases—assess, diagnose, plan and execute surgical and non-surgical treatments.
  • Perform a full range of orthopaedic procedures based on expertise (trauma fixation, joint replacement, arthroscopy) while ensuring surgical safety and best-practice infection control.
  • Lead peri-operative planning and coordinate multidisciplinary care with anaesthesia, physiotherapy, nursing and radiology teams to optimise patient outcomes.
  • Manage trauma call responsibilities, acute fracture clinics, and on-call surgical interventions efficiently and with clear documentation.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, produce operative notes, discharge summaries and comply with medico-legal and hospital quality standards.
  • Contribute to departmental continuous improvement—mentor junior surgeons, participate in audits, morbidity & mortality reviews and teaching activities.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MS (Orthopaedics) or DNB (Orthopedics) with active medical registration in India.
  • 3+ years post-qualification experience in orthopaedics with demonstrable theatre and trauma experience.
  • Proven competency in fracture management and at least one area of subspecialty (joint replacement or arthroscopy).
  • Strong clinical judgement, operative skills, and ability to manage on-call emergencies.
  • Excellent communication, patient consenting, and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in total hip/knee arthroplasty, limb reconstruction, or spine procedures and familiarity with modern implants and instrumentation.
  • Prior teaching/mentoring experience, participation in audits and quality improvement projects, and exposure to hospital accreditation processes.
