MRO Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in remanufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of engine and system components, your role will involve developing technical solutions and design concepts for various tasks. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing engine components such as sheet metal, piping, and machined parts, as well as systems and sub-systems. - Ensuring quality, timelines, and deliverables for all tasks, subtasks, and projects. - Creating technical documentation for manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. - Reviewing technical concepts created by peers. - Managing technical changes, new releases, and bill of materials in PLM and ERP systems such as Windchill and SAP. - Defining wear limits and criteria to assess used parts. - Improving processes and creating documentation. - Collaborating closely with the service team for MRO solution development. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering with 6-8 years of experience. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes like casting and machining. - Knowledge of maintenance repair & overhaul, reman processes, terminologies, and overhauling specifications. - Understanding of cost-effective repair/overhaul processes for engine components. - Proficiency in 3D-CAD systems, preferably Pro Engineer/CREO, and expertise in ISO GPS based Geometric Tolerancing. - Hands-on experience with PLM systems like Windchill and ERP systems like SAP. - Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional and global teams. - Flexibility, teamwork, independence, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects. - Passion for handling new challenges and driving results. - Knowledge of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, project management, and stakeholder management. - Good communication and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in German language is considered an added advantage.
