Job Title - Junior Motion Designer

Contract - 1 year Location:

Location - Hyderabad, On-Site

Role Overview - We’re looking for a junior motion designer who’s passionate about UI motion design, not just making things move, but using motion to communicate, guide, and delight users. You’ll work closely with product designers & UI engineers to add motion that enhances usability and builds Prefr’s visual identity.

Roles & Responsibilities -

• Create production-ready UI animations i.e micro-interactions, screen transitions, and states changes for app and web.

• Translate motion briefs OR static UI flows into purposeful motion that improves usability and clarity to the users.

• Deliver export ready assets using tools such as (Lottie / Rive / After Effects).

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to align motion with interaction logic and performance constraints

• Maintain a light documentation trail for each delivered animation (naming conventions, export formats, integration notes, animation guidelines [timing, easing, states, system behaviour])

• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback.

What We’re Looking (Must Haves)

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in UI Motion Design or related roles

• Strong motion portfolio with at least 2-3 projects showing product-oriented motion (not just brand OR campaign work)

• Excellent command of timing, easing, rhythm, and spatial flow in digital interfaces

• Proven ability to hand off clean, performance-friendly motion assets.

• Familiarity with how engineers implement motion (eg. Lottie, Rive Runtime, JSON exports, FPS/performance considerations) Good to Have

• Experience working within an existing design system or motion language. • Familiarity with fintech or other data-dense UI environments.

• Interest in contributing to a longer-term motion guideline library (post-contract).

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
