Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Modernization & Upgrade Work

  • Replace outdated elevator components such as controllers, motors, door operators, wiring, and safety devices.
  • Install new mechanical and electrical parts as per modernization plans.
  • Dismantle old systems safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure compatibility of new systems with existing elevator infrastructure.

2. Technical Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose issues related to control systems, wiring, motors, door operations, and safety circuits.
  • Identify root causes of performance problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist engineers during major troubleshooting or system upgrades.

3. Testing & Commissioning

  • Perform functional tests after modernization to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Check leveling accuracy, ride quality, door functionality, braking, and speed.
  • Support senior engineers during final inspection and handover.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment during modernization work.
  • Ensure work is performed according to company guidelines and local regulatory standards.
  • Maintain site cleanliness and adhere to safe dismantling practices.

5. Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and customers regarding modernization progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of replaced components, wiring changes, and test results.
  • Provide daily/weekly reports on modernization activities.

6. Customer Service

  • Interact professionally with building owners and facility managers.
  • Explain the nature of modernization work and expected improvements.
  • Address on-site queries related to elevator operation post-modernization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in elevator installation, maintenance, or modernization.
  • Strong understanding of elevator control systems, wiring, mechanical components, and safety equipment.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with retrofitting, rewiring, alignment, and testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams.

Salary: ₹30000

Experience: 2+ years
