MIDAS Customization Expert-IOM- Onsite Malaysia / Dubai/ INDIA

We are seeking a highly skilled MIDAS Customization Expert to lead the customization, integration, and deployment of the IOM-developed MIDAS platform. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in border management information systems, particularly MIDAS, and will be responsible for tailoring the system to the operational and policy needs of our national context.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Customize the MIDAS platform to meet the specific needs of immigration, visa, and border control processes.

•

Integrate MIDAS with third-party systems (e.g., biometric systems, eVisa, national ID, criminal databases, airline systems).

•

Work closely with government stakeholders, IOM, and IT teams to gather and define system requirements.

•

Develop, test, and deploy MIDAS modules in accordance with performance and security best practices.

•

Implement data migration, system backups, and disaster recovery procedures.

•

Monitor system performance and provide continuous support and upgrades as needed.

•

Ensure compliance with national data protection and international interoperability standards.

•

Provide technical training to administrators and government IT staff.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

•

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

•

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development or systems integration.

•

Hands-on experience with the MIDAS platform (preferably in a government or IOM-assisted deployment).

•

Proficiency in technologies used by MIDAS: PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, XML, Linux.

•

Experience with REST APIs, web services, and biometric device integration.

•

Strong understanding of immigration, border control, and identity management systems.

•

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

•

Ability to work with multicultural teams and government counterparts.

•

Strong communication and project reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

•

Experience in eVisa or travel authorization systems.

•

Knowledge of ICAO PKD, INTERPOL SLTD, or PISCES systems.

•

Experience with UN/IOM protocols and deployments.

•

Certification in cybersecurity or data privacy is a plus.

•

Knowledge of French, Arabic, or other relevant languages is a plus (for international deployments).
