At least 7+ years of post-qualification work experience in Market Research and Automotive databases. Well-honed research skills and the ability to bring out strong Quantitative analysis in the form of Market Estimations/Sizing. It is recommended to have experience in other data analytics tools such as IBM Planning Analytics. Strong Secondary research skills and MS Excel proficiency. Ability to work on data from multiple sources/formats and provide standardized outputs. Broad and well-developed analytical skills and data modelling skills with problem solving ability. Stakeholder and Vendor management. A team player, with strong inter-personal skills, who can collaborate effectively within and across the organization. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Organizational skills including time management, project planning and tracking. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Robust Market Intelligence products end to end: Contribute significantly to a high-quality stream of research output in the industry database. Databases will be focused on: Light Vehicle model level sales data Light Vehicle body & door level detail (one step below model level) Light Vehicle powertrain (Hybrid & Electric Vehicle) sales data (one step below model level) Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle sales data (brand, weight class, type (bus/truck), artic/rigid).Develop and test hypotheses that challenge existing estimates within a market to provide unique insight. Evaluate the data required to support those hypotheses. Coordinate with other teams to procure input data for analysis. Use all the tools and knowledge at your disposal to produce analysis that goes beyond the descriptive to offer valuable customer insight for our clients. Routine update of the data with logic and sanity check. Team Management: Manage team of Research Analysts in the production of content (database). Train these analysts in market analysis, forecasting, and analysis and monitor their performance such that they produce good quality products across our product offering. Vendor Management: Vendor management including liaising with data providers and managing vendor contracts. Work with 40+ suppliers globally on a routine basis. Also, identify further data sources as potential for future needs. Develop industry expertise: Develop expertise within the area of Automotive sector. Build deep insight into the market trends and competitive landscape related to your product. Maintain and provide timely responses to market issues and offer up to date data/analysis. Provide effective stakeholder support: Build stakeholder relationships and understand objectives and needs. Support internal stakeholders with timely and high-value analyst support. Provide content and knowledge support to the sales and marketing teams. Support our sales channel partners to add credibility to the sale. Build strategic involvement: Offer insight in your area of expertise to team planning meetings. In conjunction with your Group Head, contribute to the direction of the team, particularly with regards to new data-driven analytical products. Develop a client-centric point of view with regards to ideas for future new products and services.
