Merchant Onboarding Executive

The role requires a blend of sales, customer service, and operational skills.  Merchant Acquisition: Identifying and approaching potential merchants for onboarding, often through field sales activities. Documentation and Verification: Assisting merchants with the entire documentation process, which includes gathering and verifying necessary documents like business registration papers, tax IDs, and ownership details, in compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards. System Setup and Integration: Guiding merchants through the technical setup and integration of payment systems, such as POS machines, QR codes (MQR), or online payment gateways. Training and Support: Providing training to merchants on how to use HDB Financial Services' platforms and tools effectively and serving as the primary point of contact for any issues during the onboarding phase. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key merchants, offering ongoing support, and identifying opportunities for up-selling value-added services like brand EMI or bank EMI offers. Compliance and Risk Assessment: Ensuring all merchant activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, and conducting initial risk assessments to prevent fraud. Reporting and Coordination: Tracking and reporting on onboarding progress and collaborating with internal teams (sales, operations, product, and legal/compliance) to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
