As a Merchandiser cum Designer at Samshk, your role will involve leading the merchandising of a B2B team focused on Western-Apparels. You should have a technical understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and the garment manufacturing process for complex designs. Understanding US sizes, fabrics, and technical composition of patterns will be crucial for success in this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the Merchandise team to optimize the buying cycle - Optimize current processes or establish new ones to enhance procurement strategy and ensure the shortest possible production cycle - Ensure on-time fulfillment by launching all products on the specified launch date through capacity planning, production planning, and timely inspection coordination - Share detailed tech packs and quality standards with vendors for smooth coordination - Work with vendors on development sampling and initial cost negotiations - Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and address any issues - Collaborate with clients to ensure accurate design packages - Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators and sourcing metrics - Train and mentor team members for professional growth and high performance - Conduct training and development for vendor quality teams - Evaluate new tools and technologies for process automation and reporting - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with production plans and business goals **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 2+ years of experience in managing production or sourcing - Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or Engineering in Textile Technology - Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations and processes - Technical understanding of pattern and fit development, knowledge of AUTO CAD preferred - Merchandise sourcing knowledge, experience in sample development and offshore production - Proficiency in advanced Excel and data visualization tools - Digitally savvy with the ability to implement new technologies and tools If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, you can share your resume with us at hr@samshek.com.
