Job Summary: The MEP Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all MEP aspects of construction projects. This role ensures that MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained efficiently, according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. The MEP Manager collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to achieve successful project outcomes. Responsibilities: * Project Planning and Execution: * Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all MEP-related activities throughout the project lifecycle. * Develop detailed MEP project plans, including scope, budget, and timelines. * Ensure MEP systems are integrated effectively into the overall project design. * Design Review and Approval: * Review and approve MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements and codes. * Collaborate with design engineers to resolve any design-related issues. * Site Management and Coordination: * Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of MEP installations. * Coordinate the work of MEP subcontractors and ensure adherence to project schedules. * Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to construction challenges related to MEP systems. * Budget and Cost Control: * Prepare and manage the MEP budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions. * Track expenses and ensure that MEP work stays within the allocated budget. * Quality Assurance and Compliance: * Ensure that all MEP installations meet relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. * Implement and monitor quality control procedures for MEP works. * Communication and Collaboration: * Serve as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related matters. * Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. * Chair and participate in project meetings to discuss MEP progress and resolve issues. * Commissioning and Handover: * Oversee the commissioning and testing of MEP systems to ensure proper functionality. * Manage the handover of completed MEP systems along with proper documentation to clients and other stakeholders. * Leadership and Team Management: * Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the MEP team. * Manage the performance of direct reports, if any.
