Civil Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Site Civil Engineer Reports To: Project Manager Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering projects at construction sites, ensuring that all works are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Site Civil Engineer will collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the project. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage day-to-day operations at the construction site. Ensure the implementation of civil engineering designs in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with construction drawings, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Prepare and review site-specific method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans. Monitor the progress of construction works and identify potential issues or delays, providing solutions as necessary. Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of resources and smooth workflow. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, materials used, and work completed. Ensure quality control and supervise testing of materials and structures. Assist in the preparation and review of project schedules and budgets. Coordinate with surveyors to ensure the correct alignment and positioning of structures. Monitor labor performance and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation at project completion. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and site staff. Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/ Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience (typically more than 2 years) working as a Site Civil Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, methods, and materials. Familiarity with construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Experience with project management tools and software. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of sustainability practices in construction. Work Condition: Work on-site with some office-based tasks. Ability to travel to and from different construction sites as required.
