Job Accountabilities

• Engineer & Implement Projects to meet Business Requirements

• Design layouts meeting all statutory norms, business requirements and customer needs
• Ensure timely completion of project within prescribed budget and agreed norms
• Understand Business requirements and finalize design basis incorporating latest technology which provide competitive advantage to business.
• Approve technical bids packages, technical evaluation procedures and participate in technical negotiations.

• Customer Satisfaction

• Establish and maintain relationships with required external Vendors/Suppliers/Agencies to ensure that project and engineering requirements are met in collaborative means.
• Provide engineering solution to business enabling customer delight, repeatability.
• Review feed backs from internal and external customers and initiate appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Design and Implement Profit Improvement Opportunities (PIO)

• Understand operational requirements and provide competitive engineered solutions.
• Perform Value engineering without compromising on ESH and operational requirements.
• Ensure Cost Optimization

• Adoption of technology solutions to gain competitive advantage

• Attend and participate in professional group meeting/seminars/Think tank, stay abreast of new trends.
• Research emerging/new products and recommend their applicability to business.
• Perform engineering analysis of projects to provide: preliminary design, alternatives, life cycle cost leading to equipment selection with appropriate technology.
• Evaluate budget provisions under different options ( FIM/Non FIM/Bulk purchase/alternate material)

• Process Management towards Operational Excellence

• Provide background information, documentation and expert advice for management consideration on major projects and technical matters involving concepts and principles.
• Develop and standardize procedures and methods to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of engineering services.
• Provide technical direction and guidance for all product development.

• People Development for Enhanced Capability & Productivity

• Participate in selection, coordinate training and evaluation of assigned personals.
• Create in-house competency to meet all Engineering needs of Petroleum Business.
• Mentor subordinate to take up higher responsibilities
• Create a culture within the team for #Value Engineering#.

• HSE

• Review and modify engineering designs incorporating latest HSE requirements.
• Ensure design incorporate latest local HSE requirements and are in line with company's policy.

• Boundary Management

• Liaise with/Influence statutory authorities to smoothen business operations.
• Monitor changes and regulations and technology that may affect engineering design/operations: Recommend policy and procedural changes.
• Understand and use regulatory guidelines to our advantage.
