Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Medical Coder role based in Quilon. The Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to code diagnoses and procedures accurately. Key tasks include ensuring coding compliance with federal regulations, collaborating with healthcare professionals for verification, and assisting in managing claims denials related to coding issues. Maintaining thorough documentation and staying updated on medical coding guidelines and compliance requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure accurate coding and billing practices.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare documentation standards.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations, insurance policies, and billing procedures.
• Professional certification such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, on-site environment.
