Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer with strong SolidWorks expertise to support the design, development, and optimization of advanced manufacturing equipment and medical device systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating mechanical, electrical, and control systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards, including quality and regulatory requirements for medical devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create reliable, precise, and manufacturable solutions.

Key & Functional Responsibilities and Authority:

  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, and full mechatronic systems using SolidWorks, including 3D models, technical drawings, and simulation studies.
  • Develop custom automation equipment, fixtures, tooling, and mechanisms used in medical device manufacturing.
  • Collaborate on electromechanical system architecture, integrating sensors, actuators, motors, and control hardware.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), and cost efficiency.
  • Produce detailed documentation including BOMs, GD&T, tolerance analyses, and validation protocols.
  • Support fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement continuous improvement measures.
  • Work within ISO 13485, FDA, IEC and GMP design control requirements for medical device engineering.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for design history files (DHF), validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and risk assessments.
  • Ensure design solutions meet safety, reliability, sterilization, and biocompatibility considerations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and quality teams to refine system performance.
  • Conduct system-level testing, root cause analysis, and verification of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Participate in the development of automated inspection systems, test fixtures, and process control tools.

Qualification, Experience & Other Requirements: -

  • Bachelors degree in in Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience using SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings, simulations).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, control principles, and automation.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, high-precision equipment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and work with electromechanical components.
  • Solid understanding of engineering documentation, GD&T, and design verification methods.
