Job Title Mechanical Manager, Project Manager - MEP, pharmaceutical or life sciences construction projects Job Description Summary This role is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work of a building under construction. Also having sound understanding of the impact of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing settings within the construction process. Job Description About the Role: Manage and coordinate end-to-end execution of MEP works in compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards (cGMP, FDA, WHO, EMA). Lead planning, design review, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems. Coordinate MEP works with process, civil, architectural, and automation teams to ensure seamless integration. Ensure design and execution meet cleanroom classifications, HVAC zoning, temperature/humidity control, and pressure differentials. Supervise contractors, consultants, and vendors for MEP disciplines; monitor progress and quality on-site. Review and approve technical submissions, drawings, material approvals, and method statements. Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans for MEP packages. Conduct FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities; ensure proper documentation and validation readiness. Implement risk management strategies and mitigation plans related to MEP systems. Maintain a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability standards (e.g., LEED). About You: Bachelor s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (master s degree or PMP certification is a plus). Prior experience in MEP project management, in pharmaceutical, biotech, or cleanroom facility projects are preferred. Strong understanding of pharma MEP systems: clean steam, WFI, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, lighting, UPS, and BMS integration. Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and MEP design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.). Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills. Familiarity with validation and qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) in pharma environments.
