Tank Construction Industry: Mechanical / Construction / Fabrication

Experience :

5–8 years of relevant experience in tank fabrication and erection within a mechanical construction company. Experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or heavy fabrication projects preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and oversee fabrication and erection of storage tanks (fixed roof, floating roof, pressure vessels, etc.).
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering standards for tank construction projects.
• Prepare and check BOQ (Bill of Quantities), material requirements, and equipment lists.
• Supervise fabrication, welding, cutting, rolling, and assembly processes at the workshop/site.
• Ensure compliance with API 650 / API 653 / ASME standards for tank design and construction.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Monitor and maintain quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) documentation.
• Conduct hydro testing, pneumatic testing, and inspection of tanks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during erection, commissioning, and maintenance.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of tank fabrication, erection, and welding processes.
• Familiarity with piping, structural supports, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in Auto CAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of international codes & standards (API, ASME, ASTM, IS codes).
• Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or Diploma with experience).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
