Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify detailed technical drawings and schematics for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks (3D modeling) and AutoCAD (2D drafting).
• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and designers to ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent and project specifications.
• Develop detailed documentation including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
• Ensure strict adherence to company drafting standards, industry guidelines, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Manage drawing revisions ("redlines" and "as-builts") and maintain organized project documentation through robust document control procedures.
• Review designs for feasibility, cost efficiency, and manufacturability with the production team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling and surfacing) and Autodesk AutoCAD (2D drafting).
• Experience: Proven experience in a mechanical drafting or CAD technician role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T standards.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and meticulous accuracy in all work.
• Education: An Associate’s degree or certificate in Mechanical Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related technical field is required.
• Certification: Professional certification, such as an Autodesk Certified Professional credential or CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional), is a significant advantage.
