Role Purpose

Equipment Development Engineer

What the role entails

·       Design and develop precision mechanical components and systems for high-speed industrial machines.

·       Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA.

·       Perform motion and dynamic analysis to optimize performance and minimize vibration.

·       Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and fatigue life using ANSYS or similar tools.

·       Collaborate closely with electrical, controls, and automation teams to ensure seamless mechanical integration.

·       Select appropriate materials for high-speed and high-durability applications.

·       Apply principles of modular design for scalable and serviceable machine architectures.

·       Participate in prototype development, testing, and design iteration cycles.

·       Ensure designs comply with relevant safety and industry standards (e.g., ISO, CE).

·       Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in design processes, documentation, and cost efficiency.

What we are looking for in you

(Skills, Knowledge, Special Attributes, Mobility)

·       3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with high-speed machinery or automation equipment.

·       Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA).

·       Strong understanding of mechanical dynamics, kinematics, tolerancing, and vibration mitigation.

·       Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS for structural and dynamic analysis.

·       Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal, and assembly methods.

·       Strong communication and collaboration skills.

·       Knowledge of GD&T and precision tolerance stack-up analysis

Minimum Qualifications & Critical Exposure to Perform the Job at the Optimum Level

3 - 5 years

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
