Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components, systems, and products. This role involves creating detailed 2D/3D designs, performing simulations, and ensuring that designs meet functional, safety, and cost requirements. The engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and create mechanical designs for new products or improve existing products.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Conduct feasibility studies, stress analysis, and tolerance analysis to ensure design integrity.
• Collaborate with production, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare technical documentation including specifications, assembly instructions, and bills of materials (BOM).
• Participate in design reviews and provide engineering solutions for design challenges.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions for mechanical issues during production or field deployment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, or similar).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of simulation and analysis tools (FEA, CFD) is a plus.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Experience in product development and design for manufacturing (DFM) is preferred.

Experience:

2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or a similar role (for mid-level).

• Experience in automotive, industrial machinery, consumer products, or related industries is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
