Job Description

This Position reports to: Senior Designer
Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite

This role is contributing to the Motion Large Motors & Generators business in Vadodara, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Being responsible to process orders in engineering department meeting customer specifications and ABB standards.
Being responsible to deliver customer documentation, Bill of materials and all required manufacturing or procurement specifications on time and with good quality using ABB tools.
Co-ordinating with other stake holders to ensure smooth order processing and provide technical support to other departments whenever required.
Adhering to ABB code of conduct, integrity and practice the same.

Qualifications for the role

Professional degree in Mechanical Design Engineer (B Tech)
Relevant experience (3-4 years) in motors or generators design environment preferred
Must know basics of Mechanical design of rotating electrical machines (motors and generators)
Having hands on experience of 2D, 3D modeling and drafting software's (AutoCAD and Unigraphics preferred)
Knowledge of ERP software like SAP preferred.
