About The Opportunity
A clinical position within the private healthcare sector delivering tertiary and secondary care services in internal medicine. This role is focused on high-quality inpatient and outpatient care, acute medical management, and cross-disciplinary coordination at a fast-growing hospital facility serving Pune district and surrounding communities.Location: Talegaon, Maharashtra (On-site). We are seeking an experienced physician to join a patient-centric clinical team and drive excellence in medical care and operational standards.Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical care in OPD and IPD—evaluate, diagnose, treat and follow up adult medical patients with high standards of safety and ethics.
- Lead ward rounds, manage admissions and discharges, and coordinate multidisciplinary care with specialties (cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, etc.).
- Respond to emergency calls, stabilize acute medical conditions and supervise transfer/ICU admissions when required.
- Perform core bedside procedures (central line insertion, thoracentesis, paracentesis, joint aspiration) with strict adherence to asepsis and institutional protocols.
- Supervise, mentor and train junior doctors, medical interns and nursing staff; contribute to clinical governance, case reviews and morbidity & mortality meetings.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensure timely documentation in EMR, and support quality improvement, infection control and patient-safety initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MD or DNB in Internal Medicine (or equivalent) and active registration with the Medical Council/State Medical Council.
- Minimum 2–5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in hospital settings managing OPD/IPD and acute medical cases.
- Proven competence in common medical procedures, emergency stabilization and basic critical care management.
- Strong clinical judgement, diagnostic skills, and ability to work under pressure in an on-site hospital environment.
- Excellent communication skills, multidisciplinary collaboration and patient counselling abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in an accredited hospital, teaching hospital or multi-specialty centre near Pune/Maharashtra.
- Advanced life support certifications (ACLS) and exposure to ICU or high-dependency unit management.
- Involvement in quality projects, teaching, or publications is an advantage.
