Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth materials research to support product design, process improvements, and cost optimization.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers through rigorous assessments and audits.
- Lead PPAP submissions and validations, ensuring all documentation and sample parts meet customer and industry requirements.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to align material and supplier choices with business goals.
- Analyze material failures and recommend corrective actions or alternative materials.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and material technologies relevant to the sector.
- Generate technical reports, risk assessments, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain and product quality.

Work Experience

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Mandatory experience in a relevant industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, etc.).
- Strong expertise in PPAP process, including documentation, sample validation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to perform supplier quality audits and material testing.
- Good knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 standards (if automotive).
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
