About the Role

Rawatsons Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Material Testing Engineer with expertise in Spectro Testing, UTM operations, and Chemical & Physical Testing of materials. The candidate will be responsible for conducting, analyzing, and reporting test results to ensure conformance with required metallurgical and mechanical standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain Spectrometer for chemical composition analysis of metals.

· Conduct UTM (Universal Testing Machine) tests including tensile, bend, and compression testing.

· Perform chemical and physical analysis of materials as per IS/ASTM standards.

· Prepare, label, and calibrate samples before testing.

· Validate material composition with heat numbers and MTC (Material Test Certificate).

· Maintain calibration and testing records accurately.

· Ensure testing compliance with ISO 9001:2015, project QAP, and customer specifications.

· Coordinate with QA and production teams for material clearance and reporting.

Skills & Competencies

· Hands-on experience in Spectro Machine operation & calibration.

· Proficient in UTM testing and data analysis.

· Strong understanding of metallurgical, chemical, and physical testing standards.

· Report generation and documentation accuracy.

· Basic knowledge of material science and quality management systems.

· Attention to detail and laboratory discipline.

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Material Science Engineering.

· Minimum 1–3 years of experience in spectro, UTM, or material testing laboratories.

· Experience in fabrication, foundry, or heavy engineering preferred.

· NDT Level II certification will be an added advantage.

Work Environment

Primarily lab-based testing role with periodic coordination with production and QA teams. Requires adherence to safety, calibration, and testing procedures at all times.
